Hazard, Pogba … the ranking of the most expensive players in the world

The Football Observatory has published its ranking of the most expensive players in the world. Among the Ronaldo, Messi and Hazard, our Frenchman Paul Pogba comes to play the trouble-party.

While announcing yesterday that Eden Hazard was close to the PSG on an estimated transfer of € 75 million, it would seem that Chelsea executives are asking their Qatari counterparts to revalue their offer. The football observatory, based in Neuchâtel (Switzerland), published on Wednesday its ranking of the most expensive football players in the world. This ranking at eleven gives us the estimated values of the stars of the round ball according to their sporting performances, their remaining contract years and their purchase values. And the Belgian international has therefore been undervalued by the MTP: according to the Observatory, it is not worth 75 million but EUR 82 million. He thus occupies the foot of the podium of this top 11, behind Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona – 216 million euros), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid-114 M €) and Luis Suarez (Liverpool – 107 M €).
But the real sensation of this ranking comes from a French player. Paul Pogba, for whom the world 2014 is “a Dream”, arrives in sixth place with an estimated value of 66 million euros. It climbs just behind Neymar (FC Barcelona-68 m €) and especially in front of Gareth Bale (Real Madrid – 62 M €) and Mesut Özil (Arsenal – 53 M €). The list is complemented by Edinson Cavani (PSG – € 52 million), Mario Götze (Bayern Munich – € 51 million) and Diego Costa (Atlético Madrid – € 51 million). In Ligue 1, the two best realisable gains are to be put to the estate of Lorient for Vincent (0 to 6.3 m €) and the LOSC Lille for Simon Kjaer (from 2.5 to 9 M €). Do you find this ranking fair?
